PCSABC leverages Microsoft excel templates as the user interface to build and load the ABC model with input data. A simple user interface application manages the model template file loads, validation and model calculation.

The excel template data is loaded into SQL Server staging tables and a validation load log provided in excel for user input data validation. The cost calculations are run and the results provided to an excel pivot table, dynamically linked to SQL Server result queries and tables. The application provides Product, Customer and Channel (3 dimensional) cost information. The SQL results table is open and can be accessed by any other reporting solution.

While PCSABC was developed for prototyping ABC for large organizations, its ease of use and no cost to purchase makes it an attractive option for small companies. PCSABC can be made available to small companies at no cost, as part of any PCS Consulting services engagement.
